Went to Okuchi Japanese Restaurant in Kota Damansara. One of the item in their NEW menu is the 'Sukiyaki'. Seeing that it is about RM 66, we decided to give it a try. Sufficient to say, we were extremely impressed with the serving portion.

The beef was super fresh. Allowing the hotpot to simmer, we just dip the beef in the soup for a litte while. After that, we coat it in raw egg ! The taste was superb !!! Unfortunately, the soup was on the slightly sweeter side. But, you are allow to add stock (for those who is not into 'sweet' food - please leave the teriyaki sauce aside)

I am for sure to return again and try another round !

I have always heard good reviews about the 'Char Siew' from Overseas Restaurant but have never actually really tasted it. Last week, a family friend was kind enough to extend their invitation to me to join them there for dinner. Sufficient to say, it was AMAZING !! The meat literally melts in your mouth. The outer layer of the char-siew is coated with perfectly roasted caramel sauce which makes it a little sticky. Each slice is cut to be relatively thick so that you can still taste the juicy meat. Apart from that, the dessert is pretty cool too. We had dry ‘Tong Yuen’. Inside the Tong Yuen is black sesame which is slightly salted giving it an extra ‘thumbs up’, as for the Outer skin, you roll it with finely crushed peanut crumbs to make the overall experience so completely fulfilling !! ;o)
